Inheritance

When losing a loved one, dealing with their finances is the last thing on one’s mind. Unfortunately, this is also when their financial assets are at most risk due to bad actors trying to take advantage of the situation. In order to increase security for our client’s investments, our team created a family of services designed to expand the channels for informing Schwab when a client has passed away.

Our Inheritance journey begins with the death notification. At that time, Schwab will do its due diligence to verify if in fact the notification is a valid one. If the notification is confirmed, we proceed with identifying beneficiaries and begin the inheritance process. Once all the accounts of the deceased client have been transferred to their loved ones, we end the experience.
